Foundation Was Started The Foundation was started in 2005, A year of tragedy for a clown named Chuckles.
A day that would forever change the life of this clown with a grease painted smile and a Chuckle for a name. It would
silence his joy of giving laughter to millions of people as he had done every week for the past three decades of
performances. The smile was no longer on his face as the tears washed away the layers of grease paint that portrayed
his clown character. For Chuckles the death of his character came swiftly, but not silently when a volunteer fireman
from a township in Lancaster performed an act of malice. A blast from the fire truck's mighty air horns only inches
away from Chuckles head caused brain damage, severe tinnitus, hypercusis, hearing deafness, and a host of other
medical maladies.
Chuckles lived his whole life in this beautiful Pennsylvania Dutch Country of Lancaster. Unfortunately the township
of the fire company gave a deaf ear to investigating the negligence conducted by the fire department. Forth coming
was no apology and no help from a community viewed as caring. No longer was Chuckles home a beautiful place to live.
Chuckles lost all his work and with medical bills over $100,000 and mounting, Chuckles faced many life altering
decisions. One very important decision was made, to keep the spirit of Chuckles alive by allowing the laughter and
goodwill to prevail with the birth of the Chuckles Foundation. About
